Support local. Loudly.
Counter space, photography and our delivery riders — given free to the makers, growers and causes of this valley.
We take no commission. We never have.
Why we do this
A full room is worth more shared than kept.
Hundreds of people pass this counter every day. A jar of honey, a card, a poster or a mention can change a month for a small maker in the valley — and it costs us nothing but shelf space.
So in 2023 we stopped doing it as a favour and made it a programme with an open application. Anyone from Swat can apply. We do not take a share of what you sell.
Shelf space
A named place on the Organic shelf or the front counter, priced by you, with the full amount paid back to you every fortnight.
Photography
A proper set of photographs of your product, shot in our room, yours to keep and use anywhere — not just with us.
Our riders
Deliveries across Saidu Sharif and Mingora on our bikes, alongside our own orders, at no cost to you.
Our audience
Your story told properly on our social channels and on this page, and a table at the seasonal makers' market we host.
International MMA fighters from the valley — guests of ours, with their titles
The neighbourhood
Everyone we buy from, stock or stand behind.
Some supply our kitchen, some sell from our shelf, and some we simply promote because the work deserves it. Every one of them is based in Swat.
Since 2023
What the programme has actually done.
Numbers from our own books, not an annual report. If one of them ever goes down, it will still be on this page.
Growers, makers, home kitchens and cooperatives given counter space or promotion.
Every rupee a partner's product earns on our counter goes back to the partner.
Seasonal makers' markets in our back room, with tables given free to applicants.
Everything left on the bread shelf at closing leaves with the shelter kitchen run.
Apply to the programme
Tell us what you make.
If you grow, bake, sew, build, roast or run a cause anywhere in Swat, send us a proposal. There is no fee, no commission and no minimum size — our smallest partner started with two jars a week.
Send the form
By email if you have photos, a catalogue or a proposal document to attach. By WhatsApp if it is quicker to send pictures from your phone.
We visit
Someone from our team comes to see where you work, usually within two weeks. No inspection, just a conversation.
You go on the shelf
We agree a price, photograph the product and give you a named place at the counter. Payment to you every fortnight, in full.
Prefer to talk first? Message us on WhatsApp or write to thevintagehbc@gmail.com.

One valley, one counter
Buy from someone whose name you know.
Next time you are at the front counter, look at the shelf on the right. Every jar, board and bag on it belongs to somebody from this valley — and all of it is here for free.
